A man was found dead Friday evening in Norfork Lake, according to a statement from the Baxter County sheriff's office.
Children on jet skis saw a body in the lake about 6 p.m. Friday and returned to Jordan Marina to tell the dock owners, police said. When deputies arrived, they saw the body and a submerged boat nearby.
Divers from the Fulton County sheriff's office recovered the body, police said.
The identification on the body matched registration inside the submerged boat, the statement said. Police are not releasing the man's name at this time.
The cause of death is unknown, and officers continue to investigate the sequence of events that led to the death.
