St. Mark's Episcopal Church was the setting at 6 p.m. Saturday, June 14, for the marriage of Dr. Heather Lynn Young and Cameron Fuller Highsmith. The Rev. Lisa Frye and the Rev. Anne Russ of First Presbyterian Church of Argenta officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Dr. Sandra and M.C. Young of London, Ark. Her grandparents are Lillian and Albert T. Sindel of Canon City, Colo., and the late Maxine and Cyrus Young of Fort Smith.

Parents of the groom are Sandra and John Malin of Bryant and Beth and Sam Highsmith, 5524 Chevaux Court. His grandparents are the late Ruth and William Caird of Musselburgh, Scotland, and the late Katie and M. Fuller Highsmith of Batesville.

An arrangement of yellow roses, white larkspur and golden alstroemeria decorated the altar. Music was by organist Tim Allen and guitarists Lora East and Rachel Pence.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore an ivory Alencon lace fit-and-flare gown with a scalloped neckline. She carried a bouquet of yellow calla lilies, roses and cymbidium orchids, white hydrangeas and pink wax flower.

Maid of honor was Katie McDonald of Little Rock. Bridesmaids were Devon Tucker, Dr. Susan Demirel and Lori Parker, all of Little Rock; Liz Marg of North Little Rock; and Dr. Anna Jezari of El Paso, Texas. They wore robin's egg blue knee-length chiffon dresses and carried posies of roses, stock and solidago.

Flower girls were Laila Smith of Alexander; Chloe and Matti Lee of Benton, nieces of the groom; and Emilie and Nathalie Young of Russellville, nieces of the bride. Ring bearers were Sebastien Young of Russellville, nephew of the bride; and Carson Cole of Alexander.

The groom's honor attendants were Chad Cole and Craig Smith, both of Alexander. Groomsmen were Josh Heimberg and David Martindale, both of Little Rock; Ezra Casteel of Washington; and Jeff Ferguson of Hyde Park, Mass. Guests were seated by Ryan Hobart of Columbia, Mo.; Steven Young of Virginia Beach, Va., brother of the bride; and Tyler Pitchford and John Robert Lee, both of Benton.

A reception in the church's parish hall followed the ceremony. Guest tables covered with canary yellow tablecloths and robin's egg blue lace runners were centered with white and yellow arrangements of hydrangeas, roses, alstroemeria and Fuji chrysanthemums.

The bride has a bachelor's degree in international medicine from Hendrix College in Conway, a master's degree in control of infectious diseases from London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and a medical degree from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. She is an internal medicine-pediatrics resident at UAMS and in July will begin a pediatric infectious disease fellowship at Texas Children's Hospital, Houston.

The groom has a bachelor's degree in political science from Westminster College in Fulton, Mo. He served in the Peace Corps in Ukraine and recently graduated with a master's of divinity from San Francisco Theological Seminary, San Anselmo, Calif. He is seeking ordination in the Presbyterian Church.

The couple will live in Houston and plan a wedding trip to Iceland later.
