Geri Elizabeth Burkett and Jeffrey Clayton Bemberg were united in marriage at 6 p.m. Saturday, June 14, in First United Methodist Church of West Memphis. The Rev. David Moseley officiated.

Parents of the bride are Susan and James Burkett of West Memphis. Her grandparents are Geraldine and the late Richard Johnson of Memphis, Lucille Burkett and the late Frances and Roger Burkett, all of McCrory.

The groom is the son of Sue and Jeffrey Bemberg, 4 Westchester Court. His grandparents are Mary Ann and the late Gordon Bemberg and the late Bettye and Jimmie Wallworth, all also of Little Rock.

The altar held two large white arrangements of hydrangeas, orchids and larkspur. Music was by organist Jamie Corbett and pianist John Friday, with special music by Andrew Christian Villemez of Little Rock. Readers were Brant Burkett of McCrory and Scott Johnson of West Monroe, La., cousins of the bride.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore an off-white A-line gown with an overlay of lace and tulle. The strapless bodice was embellished with Chantilly lace, lace appliques and a silver and white beaded band at the waist. She carried a bouquet of white hydrangeas, peonies and stars of Bethlehem.

Matron of honor was Elisabeth Sorrell Calcote of West Memphis. Bridesmaids were Laura Poff of Memphis; Cathryn Reeves of Fayetteville; Natalie Eubanks of Bells, Tenn.; Emily Williams, Celia Murphy and Caroline Holt, cousin of the bride, all of Little Rock; Laura Burkett of Stuttgart, cousin of the bride; and Sarah Lyne and Georgeanne Ford, both of Jonesboro. They wore one-shoulder gowns of midnight blue duppioni silk and carried bouquets of hydrangeas, spider chrysanthemums and stars of Bethlehem.

Matthew Holliman of Little Rock was best man. Groomsmen were Christopher Arnold, Neil Carpenter, Brian Cherry, Timothy Ciabocchi, Justin Richards and Philip Bemberg, cousin of the groom, all of Little Rock; Nicholas Bemberg of Helena, Mont., brother of the groom; William Maxwell Klein of Memphis; Peter Liu of Chicago; and Spencer Lucker of Washington.

A reception at The Columns at 1 Commerce Square in Memphis followed the ceremony. Guest tables and the buffet held white flowers in silver and gold mercury vases. Music was by Party Planet of Memphis.

The bride graduated magna cum laude from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville with a bachelor's degree in chemistry. She was a member of Delta Delta Delta. She received a doctorate of pharmacy from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and is a resident in the managed care pharmacy program at the UAMS College of Pharmacy.

The groom graduated from UA with a bachelor's degree in sociology and a master's degree in education. He was a member of Phi Delta Theta and the Razorbacks football team. He is a middle-school history teacher and football coach in Warren.

The couple will make their home in Little Rock after a honeymoon in Antigua.
