Police say one person has died and another is in serious condition after a Wednesday morning shooting at a Little Rock apartment complex.

Little Rock Police Department spokesman Sgt. Cassandra Davis said the shooting occurred about 8:47 a.m. inside a building at the Beacon Hill Apartments at 1801 Reservoir Road.

Officers found a gunshot victim outside an apartment in the complex's Building 9, a police report states. Davis said the second victim was inside the apartment.

One of the victims told officers that he answered a knock on the door and three attackers, described only as black and male, were standing in the doorway, where they fired shots.

The other victim died about an hour after the shooting at Baptist Medical Center-Little Rock, authorities said.

The surviving victim was transported to UAMS Medical Center, according to the police report.

The Police Department is working with apartment complex officials to try to obtain surveillance video that could possibly lead to identification of the shooter or shooters, Davis said.

Guessing there's more to the story. Drug deal gone bad, maybe, or something else criminal in nature. The "victims" might not be innocent.

Those used to be nice apartments, it's like a cancer moving across the city. How many people know that Little Rock made the top 10 most dangerous cities to live in list this year? Look no farther than the lack of community policing and community involvement. Cities that are serious about crime buy houses on every block of crime ridden neighborhoods and put police officers in them that do what cops used to do, walk the beat and get to know the kids and their parents, it's amazing how quickly gangs and drug dealers move out. But hey, look how many jobs at the detention center would be lost.

If you truly get to the heart of the problem, the ones who are the problem scream racism.

Just another day in the paradise of living with decades of failed liberal social policies. Are you democrats ashamed yet?

Yeah, that's what it is.
My guess is it's more to do with people like you that fought to break up our country, trying to keep a race enslaved. Hundreds of years of despair and unequal treatment. Much like the south still trails the north after we were burned to the ground. It takes generations upon generations to turn some things around.
I am definitely ashamed our great country has given birth to a hateful person like you. What is your reason?
