4 killed in fiery crash in west Tennessee

BROWNSVILLE, Tenn. — The Tennessee Highway Patrol says four people are dead after a fiery crash in west Tennessee involving two tractor-trailers and at least two passenger cars.

Police told media outlets that two people, a husband and wife from Bowling Green, Ky., died in one of the tractor-trailers. They believe the other two killed were in one of the passenger cars. No identities were released.

The crash happened Wednesday afternoon near the 64 mile maker of Interstate 40 in Haywood County, which is between Jackson and Memphis.

It wasn't immediately clear how the crash happened. Police said it remains under investigation.
