Wesley Bell Ringers Concert

MORRILTON — The Wesley Bell Ringers of Salt Lake City, Utah — a ministry of Christ United Methodist Church in Salt Lake City — will perform at 7:30 p.m. at First United Methodist Church, 201 S. Chestnut in Morrilton. The concert, part of the choir’s 49th annual tour, will feature 30 teenage ringers playing more than 225 handbells and handchimes. The concert will include music by Rossini, Handel and Copland, as well as selections by arrangers and composers in the world of handbells. O Gallery and Etc. Grand Opening

OPPELO — The community is invited to join artists, instructors and the owner for the Grand Opening of the O Gallery and Etc. from noon to 7 p.m. for light refreshments and an opportunity to meet the artists and view their work. The “et cetera” covers all things creative, including birdhouses, classes, events, writing seminars, yard art, yoga instruction and more. Everyone is welcome to sign up to take classes, to exhibit art or to win an original work of art by Coe Wilson. The gallery is at the corner of Arkansas 9 and 154.

Centerville School Reunion

CENTERVILLE — The 2014 Centerville School reunion will be held Saturday at Centerville United Methodist Church, eight miles northeast of Greenbrier. Activities will get underway at 10 a.m. and follow the same time frame and format of previous reunions. Lunch will be provided by the church.

Baby-Safety Class

CONWAY — Getting Ready for Baby, a free baby-safety class, will be offered to expectant mothers as part of Conway Regional’s Great Start Lactation Club. The club will meet from 10 a.m. to noon in Conway Regional Medical Center’s Conference Room. The first 10 moms to arrive will receive home safety items and will be entered into a drawing for a car seat. The class is designed to teach soon-to-be moms how to keep their babies safe in an automobile and at home. The class is co-sponsored by the Injury Prevention Center at Arkansas Children’s Hospital. CONWAY — The Faulkner County Library will present Jessica Munzlinger, author of Mercy’s Grace: Discoveries, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Though many events and people inspire Munzlinger in her writing, she draws the most from her faith. Home Run Derby

POTTSVILLE — The Pottsville Athletic Association will host its first Home Run Derby at 2 p.m. at the Pottsville ballpark. There will be $1,500 in cash prizes, as well as door prizes and raffle items.

Farm Safety Just for Kids Camp Deadline

RUSSELLVILLE — The deadline is Monday for registration for the Arkansas Tech University Department of Agriculture’s 2014 edition of its award-winning Farm Safety Just for Kids camp, to be held July 7-11. The camp, for children age 9-12, teaches participants how to remain safe around animals, chemicals, electricity, farm equipment, fire, food and other potential threats on farms. The camp is limited to 20 participants. The cost is $50, which includes lunch, snacks, drinks, supplies and a camp T-shirt. Ladies’ Lunch Break

CONWAY — The First Wednesday Ladies’ Lunch Break, a nondenominational Bible study, has relocated to Second Baptist Church at Dave Ward Drive and Farris Road. The group will meet at noon in the Student Building Fellowship Hall. Enter the drive from Farris Road. Women of all ages are invited to attend. Lunch, for $5, includes a drink and dessert. Augsburg Fall Fest Booth Applications

AUGSBURG — The arts, crafts and vendor booth chairman, JoAnn Dorn, is taking applications for booth spaces for the seventh annual Augsburg Fall Fest, to be held Oct. 11 at Zion Lutheran Church at the intersection of Arkansas 333 and Augsburg Road. Anyone interested in having a booth at the festival may obtain an application form from Dorn by calling (479) 331-2302. The fee for all booths is $25. All proceeds from the festival will be divided equally between the River Valley Free Christian Clinic and the Augsburg Food Pantry.

Soccer Complex Temporary Closures

RUSSELLVILLE — The Russellville Recreation and Parks Department is working on repairing the fields at the Russellville Soccer Complex. While the repairs are underway, the complex will be closed at various times. When the complex is open, only the fields with goals will be available for use. Holiday Puppets Family Show

FAIRFIELD BAY — The Holiday Puppets will perform at 11 a.m. every Wednesday during the summer at the Puppet Playhouse in the post office building. The 45-minute show features Punch and Judy, Dudley the Magnificent Magician and The Cat Came Back shadow puppets. The family show is free and open to the public.

Business Startup Boot Camp

RUSSELLVILLE — The Arkansas Small Business and Technology Development Center will present a Business Startup Boot Camp on Tuesday evenings in July.
