Hillary Clinton is set to visit Little Rock to sign copies of her newest book, Hard Choices.
Clinton's stop in Little Rock is one of a handful the former secretary of state is making as she promotes her memoir, which is about her four years at the State Department under President Barack Obama.
Clinton's book signing is scheduled for 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Friday at the Wal-Mart in west Little Rock on Cantrell Road.
A limited number of wristbands for entry started being distributed on a first-come, first-served basis beginning at 7 a.m. About 150 people arrived within the first hour, according to store representatives. The store expects about 1,000 people total.
Visitors started arriving at 9:30 p.m. Thursday and slept in their cars overnight, and store staff started setting up for the event about that time.
By 10 a.m., Patrick McAndrew of Sherwood was waiting in the line of more than 200 to get his book signed by Clinton on Friday morning.
"I just want to tell her that I appreciate her and I will back her if she runs for president," he said.
Romulo Buen, a sales associate at Wal-Mart, said he's honored that his store is hosting this event.
"We are [excited] about getting more people to come into the store, and the line is growing," he said.
Paula Grasse from Bryant got to the store about 6:30 a.m. to get her wristband to have the opportunity to talk to Clinton.
"We got here and there were people asleep in chairs," she said. "We love Hillary and Bill."
Grasse said she met Bill a few years ago at a book signing and wanted to get a Hillary book to complete their collection.
