Saline County nurse accused of stealing narcotics

A 24-year-old Bryant woman was arrested Friday after she purportedly stole prescription narcotics from the health-care facility where she worked, according to a statement from the attorney general's office.

Tasha Lenard, who was a licensed practical nurse at the Department of Human Services’ Arkansas Health Center in Benton, is accused of taking for her personal use at least two doses of morphine and 10 methadone tablets that were intended for residents of the facility, the news release states.

Lenard was booked into the Saline County jail and charged with two felony counts of obtaining a controlled substance by fraud or theft. She was later released on $10,000 bond.

According to the release, Lenard voluntarily surrendered her nursing license.
