Police: 4 robbed at gunpoint Sunday in LR

Four people were robbed at gunpoint Sunday night while they were repairing a home in Little Rock.

Police were called about 9:54 p.m. to 8320 W. 39th St. to a reported shooting, a Little Rock Police Department report states.

Felicia Long, 28, told police that she, Ricky Hammond, 55, Henry Wilson, 63, and Larry Richmond, 47, were supposed to repair the rental home for its owner, Eric Caffey, 37.

Long told police that she and Hammond were sitting in a blue Chevrolet Avalanche that was parked in the “makeshift driveway” at the residence when they were approached by a man with a black semi-automatic handgun. The report states that the man pulled on the door handles and demanded Long and Hammond get out of the truck and go into the house.

When they got inside, the man told Long and Hammond to empty their pockets. Wilson and Richmond were already in the house being held at gunpoint by a second man with an AK-47 rifle, Long told police.

Before Long and Hammond's arrival, Richmond said, he had been sitting in the driver’s seat of his vehicle, waiting on Caffey to get to the house, when one of the robbers opened the car door and demanded his phone. The robber then took the phone and acted like he was calling Caffey.

The robber then told Richmond to call Caffey and tell him that someone was waiting on him to arrive at the rental house. The robber then told him get out of the vehicle, empty his pockets and sit in a chair in the house.

Wilson was in the bathroom repairing pipes when one of the robbers approached him and told him to walk into the living room and empty his pockets.

The robbers held the four victims at gunpoint for about 15 minutes before Caffey arrived at the home, police said. When Caffey opened the door, the robbers pointed their weapons at him and he fled the scene. They fired about four rounds at Caffey, Long told police.

Officers on the scene saw a blue Dodge Avenger with the driver’s side window partially shot out, in addition to several shell casings in the street outside the house, the report states.

When Caffey returned to the home on foot, he told police, he heard about six shots fired as he ran.

Both suspects are described as black men between the ages of 24 and 27, with brown eyes.

One suspect is described as having a short, black afro and a light complexion, weighing about 120 pounds and standing 5 feet 5 inches. The other suspect is described as having a medium build, weighing about 130 pounds, standing 5 feet 11 inches. He was wearing a black hoodie during the robbery, according to the report.
