Republican Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal endorsed the U.S. Senate campaign of U.S. Rep. Tom Cotton on Monday.

Jindal will appear at a Cotton fundraiser in Fort Smith on Monday evening, Cotton's campaign said in a statement. Jindal was sworn in as governor of Louisiana in 2008, and is seen as a possible Republican candidate for the 2016 presidential race.

“Washington desperately needs leaders like Tom Cotton. After almost six years of failures under the Obama administration, it is imperative that we turn our country around with leaders like Tom Cotton,” Jindal said in the statement.
