Little Rock shooting injures man; gunman flees, police say

Little Rock police are investigating a Sunday shooting at a Reservoir Road apartment complex that left a man injured.

About 3:41 p.m. Sunday, police were dispatched on a call about shots fired at the Warren House apartments, 2000 Reservoir Road.

When officers arrived, Willie Johnson, 20, was found lying in the hallway of an apartment.

Johnson told police that he had been arguing with Shykwan Franklin, 19, outside Buildings H and D, when Franklin fired “several shots at him from an unknown caliber semi-automatic handgun,” and one of the shots struck in him "in his right buttocks area," a Little Rock police report states. Johnson told police that Franklin left the scene in an unknown direction.

Little Rock police say Franklin was described as a medium-complected black male with black hair, brown eyes, standing 5-foot-3, weighing about 126 pounds, and wearing black shorts, a white T-shirt and headphones. Police said Franklin has several tattoos.
