No one was injured in an early-morning fire Saturday at a Little Rock apartment complex, a Little Rock Fire Department official said.

Capt. Randy Hickmon said firefighters responded about 3 a.m. to Brightwaters Apartments, 2420 Riverfront Drive, where they contained a blaze to the kitchen area of one unit. An employee of the complex confirmed the fire occurred in Building 8 but offered no further comment.

Hickmon said two other units had water damage as a result of the fire and Red Cross officials were on scene to assist at least six residents who were displaced.

An investigation into the cause of the fire is under way, Hickmon said.
