Jaclyn Brooke Abundis and Patrick Dorez White exchanged marriage vows at 4 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 22, in Calvary Church of the Nazarene. Officiating was the Rev. Arlie Kyzer of Faith Community Church of the Nazarene in Atlanta, Texas.
Melanie and Fabian Abundis, 16418 Minton Road, are the parents of the bride. She is the granddaughter of Kit Garrett and Melvin Garrett, both of Little Rock, and Raquel and Isaac Abundis of Independence, Mo.
The groom is the son of Linda White and Tommy Fulcher, both of Helena-West Helena. His grandparents are Fannie and the late Will Fulcher, also of Helena-West Helena, and the late Lina and Samuel White of Macon, Miss.
The chancel held a black iron candelabra with hot pink roses, springeri and ferns. Music was by Jessica Mack, cousin of the bride, and Charlie Garrett, uncle of the bride. Candle lighters were Emma Farnsworth, Isabel Farnsworth and Jack Farnsworth, all of Little Rock.
Given in marriage by her parents, the bride wore a gown of organza embellished with beaded Chantilly lace appliques. The ruched sweetheart bodice had a dropped waistline and the ruffled skirt extendedto a sweep train. She carried a bouquet of pink hydrangeas and hot pink roses.
Emily Abundis of Little Rock served as her sister’s maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Larrie Williams, Larrane Williams, Stephanie Friemel, Kelsey Nelson, Kentriss Walker and Courtney Matthews, cousin of the bride, all of Little Rock; Kara Kellerman of Maumelle and Jessica Mack of Nashville, Tenn., both cousins of the bride; LaRhonda Fulcher of Maumelle, sister of the groom; Ashley Mantooth and Sharmeda Johnson, both of Dallas; and Karli Watson of Conway. Junior bridesmaid was Jordan Gregory of Little Rock. They wore chiffon gowns and carried bouquets of hot pink carnations.
Flower girls were Jeneva Gregory, Jacy Gregory and Kiley Brosius and McKenzie Mack, both cousins of the bride, all of Little Rock. Ring bearer was Joshua Garrett of Little Rock, also a cousin of the bride.
Eddie Foster of Sherwood was best man. Groomsmen were William Withers of Sherwood; Nicholas Figaro of Miami; Bobby Racy, AnReckez Daniels, Matt Vaughn, Deante Gaskins, Barrett Petty, Artez Irvin, Roosevelt Thomas, Kameron Lovelace, Kelton Ray and DeShawn Bryant, all of Conway. Junior groomsmen were Matthew Garrett and Andrew Garrett of Little Rock, cousins of the bride. Guests were seated by Ian Abundis of Independence, cousin of the bride; and Chuck Garrett of Little Rock and Israel Abundis of Independence, both uncles of the bride.
A reception at The Crowne Plaza followed the ceremony. Guest tables were covered in black tablecloths with hot pink overlays. Centerpieces were black lanterns with pink roses and cylinder vases with floating candles.
The bride has a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Central Arkansas, Conway. She is a sales associate at Nike.
The groom will graduate in May with a bachelor’s degree in addiction studies from UCA. He is a member of Alpha Phi Alpha and a sergeant in the Army.
After a wedding trip to Playa del Carmen, Mexico, the couple will make their home in Maumelle.
