Awning collapse in Marion hurts 3

MARION — At least three people were injured after an awning collapsed onto some gas pumps at a convenience store in Marion.

Memphis television station WMC reported that the collapse happened at the J&P Market located near Arkansas 77.

One witness told the station that he had just filled up his vehicle and went inside the store to pay for his gas. Another patron who was pumping gas ran to get out of the way of the falling structure.

It was the second collapse of its kind in Marion since the winter weather started moving through the area.
