Sleet, light snow possible for overnight

Temperatures were expected to rise above freezing Wednesday, helping to thaw ice and slush remaining on roads across much of the state. However, patchy freezing fog developed over northeast and east Arkansas that was expected to linger until noon, reducing visibility for drivers, the National Weather Service warned Wednesday.

A second storm is expected to pass through Wednesday night and into Thursday, creating a slight chance of sleet or light snow across central Arkansas and light rain in south Arkansas. No significant accumulations were expected, the weather service said.
