Not exactly the deluge, as just a couple of new films trickle into Arkansas this week.
In this week’s MovieStyle our Piers Marchant assays the heavily CGI-ed “abs and entrails” entry 300: Rise of an Empire, while our Dan Lybarger takes the WABAC machine to review Mr. Peabody and Sherman, a computer-animated take on the Jay Ward cartoon of more than 50 years ago.
Also, Philip Martin visits the Old State House Museum’s “Lights, Camera, Arkansas” exhibit, Marchant interviews the minds behind Son of God, and, in her home movies column, Karen Martin, writes about a Bryan Cranston movie of which you’ve probably never heard.
