I-30, I-40 bridge lane closures set

By Gavin Lesnick

This article was published March 11, 2014 at 8:40 a.m.

Lane restrictions are set this week on two busy interstate bridges in Arkansas, the Arkansas Highway and Transportation Department said Tuesday.

The Interstate 30 river bridge between Little Rock and North Little Rock will have its eastbound, outside lane closed Thursday between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. so crews can replace a navigational light.

And the Interstate 40 bridge over the Mississippi River will have two westbound, outside lanes closed overnight from 8 p.m. Wednesday to 7:30 a.m. Thursday for bridge deck improvements.

Both projects could be delayed if poor weather develops.

Motorists are urged to use caution in work zones.
