Arrests made in death of Memphis man selling car

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Memphis police say they have arrested a man and two teenagers in the fatal shooting of a man who was trying to sell his car.

Police said Wednesday that 21-year-old Brandon Vance and two 17-year-old males have been charged with first-degree murder while committing a robbery in the shooting of 37-year-old Larry Wilkins.

Police say Wilkins was meeting with someone in an attempt to sell his 2006 Ford Mustang when he was shot Sunday.

Authorities found the car Monday and an officer tried to stop the vehicle. Police said the car was recovered but the people inside the Mustang got out and ran away.

Vance and one of the teens were arrested Tuesday. The other teen was arrested Wednesday.

Lawyer information for the suspects was not immediately available.
