Bail has been set at $500,000 for a man accused of fatally shooting his brother after an argument Wednesday night in Little Rock.
Tristan Lewis, 21, surrendered to authorities Thursday night after police identified him publicly as a suspect in the shooting death of 26-year-old Freddie Hinton.
Witnesses told investigators Lewis and Hinton were arguing near their home in the 1600 block of South Battery Street before Lewis opened fire, hitting Hinton multiple times. He died a short time later at a local hospital.
Police said it's not clear what started the argument.
Online records show Lewis' high bail was set Friday morning by Little Rock District Court. Suspects typically make a video appearance in district court soon after their arrest, during which bails are set and, in cases involving felony charges, preliminary innocent pleas are entered.
Lewis remained in the Pulaski County jail early Friday afternoon. He's charged with first-degree murder.
