UA student to receive Purple Heart on campus

FAYETTEVILLE — A University of Arkansas student is to be presented a Purple Heart during a ceremony on campus.

The university says military veteran Murphy McCrary from Collierville, Tenn., will be presented with the Purple Heart Friday afternoon during a ceremony at the Veterans Resource and Information Center on the Fayetteville campus.

McCrary was wounded during a deployment to Afghanistan.
