SVI hosts annual physician appreciation mixer

How long has St. Vincent Health System hosted some kind of annual appreciation mixer for its doctors? At least the 10 years that Gina Seabaugh has been there.

Seabaugh is the administrative director of physician relations and marketing and communications.

This was the first year, however, that the doctors gathered on the second-floor mezzanine of the Capital Hotel. In the past, it has always been at the Country Club of Little Rock.

There are more than 750 physicians who have privileges within the St.

Vincent Health System.

Fewer than a hundred turned out March 6, but the ones who did are some of the most visible - Dr.

Ricardo Sotomora, Dr. Ted Saer, the Meadorses and the Schlesingers - and they finished their rotations - around the two party rooms - before 9 p.m.

There were several hot canapes and a full suite of wine, beer and drinks.

Though unconfirmed, there were no reports of the ol’ “Is there a doctor in the house?” line. Mercifully.
