Work on Interstate 530 northbound will require closing an exit ramp in Pine Bluff on Wednesday, state highway officials said.

Crews repairing pavement on Exit 44 (the Arkansas 530/Monticello exit) on Interstate 530 North will detour drivers to Exit 43 (U.S. 63/South Olive Street), where they can return southbound and take Exit 44, the Arkansas Highway and Transportation Department said in a statement.

The exit-ramp closure will run from 6 a.m.-6 p.m. Wednesday, weather permitting, highway officials said.

Crews will use barrels and warning signs to alert drivers, the department said.
