Pine Bluff police announced Jan. 8 that they were searching for Rodrick Adway, 36, in connection with the sexual assault. Tuesday, authorities tracked Adway to a home at 1704 S. Poplar St. He was arrested and charged with rape. Adway also faces a charge of absconding a parole warrant.

His wife, Carolyn Adway, also was arrested at the home. Authorities said they suspect that she had been helping her husband elude officers during the past three months. She was charged with hindering arrest.

Two other people with outstanding arrest warrants also were arrested at the home. Phillip Reed, whom the U.S. Marshals Service described in a news release as a "close associate" of Adway, was charged with violating parole. Sheena Pitts was found hiding in a bedroom closet. She was wanted by Pine Bluff police on charges of aggravated assault, terroristic threatening and second-degree battery.

Adway was being held at the Jefferson County jail in lieu of a $50,000 bond late Tuesday.
