Group pulls up to car, robs man at gunpoint, police say

A Hot Springs man told authorities a group of three men pulled up next to his car and then robbed him at gunpoint of cash and pain medication, according to a police report.

The 26-year-old victim said it happened about 7:40 p.m. Wednesday while he was parked in a rear lot of the Shorty Small's restaurant at 11100 N. Rodney Parham Road.

According to the report, one of three robbers stayed in their car while the other two got out, pointed a gun at the victim and demanded his possessions.

The victim added that one of the robbers got in his car and told the other man to "shoot that cracker," the report said. The same man "kept trying to get the heavyset man to get [the victim] into their vehicle to 'take him somewhere and dump him off in the ditch,'" the report added.

At some point, the man with the gun hit the victim with it and the other man punched him in the nose, the report added. They escaped with $400 in cash and Oxycodone pills, police said.

No arrests have been made.
