Four still hospitalized after SXSW crash, driver held

— Four people remain hospitalized 10 days after a suspected drunken driver plowed into a South By Southwest festival crowd in a crash that killed three others.

A spokesman for University Medical Center Brackenridge in Austin says three were still hospitalized after the discharge of another patient Sunday. Steve Taylor says one person remains in critical condition, while two are in fair condition.

St. David's Medical Center statement says a patient remains in fair condition at that Austin hospital.

Police say the driver, Rashad Owens of Killeen, was intoxicated and fleeing officers when he veered into the crowd, killing two in the predawn March 13 crash. Austin police say a third critically injured person died March 17.

Owens remains jailed on capital murder and aggravated motor vehicle assault charges.
