Jackson County woman missing for more than month

NEWPORT — Authorities are searching for a Jackson County woman who's been missing for more than a month.

Sheriff David Lucas told The Batesville Daily Guard that Tasha Marie Garner has not been seen since Feb. 18.

Lucas says Garner was last seen at a bus station in Jonesboro and was going to Gassville for the funeral of her mother but never arrived and has had no contact with her family.

Garner is described as white, about 5-feet-5-inches tall and 225 pounds, with black hair and blue eyes.
