A US Bank in Little Rock was robbed Tuesday morning, the second of three bank robberies in Little Rock in two days.

Little Rock Police Department spokesman Lt. Sidney Allen said Derrick Galvin, 20, and Myron Thompson, 22, were found and arrested within 20 minutes of the robbery at the branch at 6320 W. Markham St.

Police say Galvin was armed with a handgun when he and Thompson entered the bank before 9:30 a.m. and Galvin tossed a bag toward a teller, climbed on top of the counter and demanded cash.

After getting the money, both men fled through the front doors, according to a police report. Officers responding to the scene then spotted both suspects near Interstate 630 and Hughes Street, arresting them after a brief chase, the report said.

Both men were charged with aggravated robbery and theft of property. They remained in the Pulaski County jail Tuesday afternoon with bail not yet set.

Allen said Galvin and Thompson were not "totally cooperating" but that investigators were working to see whether they might be involved in other crimes. But, he said, neither matches the description of a man who on Monday held up an Iberia Bank on Markham Street about a mile east of the US Bank.

"When we get any suspect into custody, we try to interview them to see what other crimes they may or may not be involved in," Allen said.

Police later Tuesday responded to a bank robbery at a First Security Bank in Otter Creek. That suspect was described as a 6-foot-tall black man.
