A Cadillac crashed into The Tennis Shoppe at 8218 Cantrell Road in Little Rock on Wednesday afternoon, injuring two employees inside the business.

A 36-year-old Little Rock woman who crashed her car through the front of a local tennis store was driving on a suspended license and didn't have insurance, authorities said Thursday.

That driver, identified in an accident report as Carletha Bunting, wasn't injured in the crash Wednesday afternoon at the Tennis Shoppe at 8218 Cantrell Road, but two people inside were hurt.

Police say Bunting was issued citations for careless and prohibited driving, driving with a suspended license and driving without insurance.

According to the report, Bunting's 1991 Cadillac was eastbound on Cantrell Road when it turned left into the shopping center, hit a parked vehicle and then went through a parking space and into the front of the store.

"[Bunting] stated she was trying to park ... when she accidentally pressed down the gas pedal instead of the brakes," police wrote in the report.

A 70-year-old employee at the store told police she saw the Cadillac come off Cantrell Road "very quickly" and that she "attempted to move away but [the car] entered the structure too quickly."

That employee suffered a broken femur that required surgery as well as carpet burns on her face and arms, the report said.

The store manager, who was also inside, suffered minor cuts on his face, but he declined medical attention.

No one was in the parked vehicle.
