WILTON, Ark. — A southwest Arkansas woman said a man claiming to be a law enforcement officer threatened her unless she provided him with explicit photos of herself.
The Texarkana Gazette reports that the 21-year-old Wilton woman called Little River County authorities about 3 a.m. Thursday to report the threats from calls to her cellphone and in text messages.
A police report says the woman told investigators that the man threatened to kill her if she called police and that he would know if officers were called because he was a police officer.
The report says the number from the phone where the calls and texts originated is registered in Shreveport, La., and that the account associated with the text messages was deleted within 10 minutes of deputies arriving at the woman's home.
