Jennie Allison Clark and Michael Joseph Stewart were united in marriage at 5 p.m. Saturday, March 22, in Hillcrest Chapel. The Rev. Belinda Price of Pulaski Heights United Methodist Church officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Patricia and Gary L. Clark of West Memphis. Her grandparents are Charlotte and Walter Clark of Stuttgart and Alice and the late James Wood of Memphis.
Nancy and Joe D. Stewart, 85 Kingspark Road, are the parents of the groom. He is the grandson of Margaret and the late David Stewart of Easley, S.C., and the late Dorothy and Roy Binion of Atlanta.
Brightly colored arrangements of roses, gerbera daisies, gladioli, spider chrysanthemums, hypericum berries and seeded eucalyptus decorated the chapel. Music was by acoustical guitarist Drew Pickins.
The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore an ivory gown with a fitted chiffon V-neck bodice and trumpet skirt that extended to a court train. Crystals and pearls embellished the gown in a floral pattern. She carried a European style bouquet of red roses.
Dr. Candice Clark Dye of Little Rock served as her sister’s matron of honor and Ann Michelle Stewart, also of Little Rock, was a bridesmaid. They wore black dresses with a lace overlay and carried nosegays of bright red roses with baby’s breath and bear grass loops.
Flower girls were Annabelle Turley Dye and Caroline Clark Dye, both of Little Rock and nieces of the bride.
Best man was Jack Townsend Stewart of Little Rock, son of the groom. Jason Binion Stewart, also of Little Rock, was his brother’s groomsman. Guests were seated by Brian Michael Clary and Daniel Wardlow Dye, both also of Little Rock.
A reception at the Junior League of Little Rock building followed the ceremony. Tables were centered with tall glass vases filled with arrangements of roses, hydrangeas, gerbera daisies, hypericum berries and curly willow. Music was by the Joe Giles Band from Fayetteville.
The bride graduated from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville with honors and a bachelor’s degree in accounting. She received a juris doctorate, also with honors, from the W.H. Bowen School of Law at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, where she was managing editor of the UALR Law Review. She received a master of laws in taxation from the University of Florida, where she was graduate editor of the Florida Tax Review. She is a tax partner with Kutak Rock LLP law firm.
The groom has a bachelor’s degree in finance and a master’s degree in business administration from UALR. He is a vice president with Regions Mortgage.
After a wedding trip to Ireland, the couple will make their home in Little Rock.
