Lauren Ruth Young and Bryan Mark Hall exchanged marriage vows at 5 p.m. Saturday, March 22, in First Baptist Church of Jonesboro. Bruce Tippit officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Glenda and Dr. Jerry Young of Jonesboro and the granddaughter of Ruth and the late Freeland Johnson, also of Jonesboro, May and the late William C. Young of Memphis and the late Earl Mullally of Helena-West Helena.
The groom is the son of Marci and Robert Hall, 7 Redcoat Lane. He is the grandson of Barbara Hugg of Tulsa, the late Charles Hugg and the late Doris and Myrl Hall, also of Little Rock.
The chancel held two columns topped with large glass and silver urns filled with white hydrangeas, amaranthus and calla lilies. Music was by soloist Brian Cross, guitarist Carl Cross and organist Fonda Lofton.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a lace gown embellished with Swarovski crystals. The Empire bodice had a V-neckline, cap sleeves and an open back with a keyhole closure at the neck. The skirt extended to a fishtail train with a scalloped lace hem. She carried a bouquet of green and white hydrangeas, miniature calla lilies and lily grass.
Kelley Champion Cook of Memphis was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Jennifer Hill, sister of the groom, and Megan Young, both of Little Rock; Brittney McGraw of Star City; Anna Callaway of Fayetteville; Jessica Blackburn of Jonesboro; and Wendee Saffell of Cave City. They wore forest green chiffon gowns with V-necklines. The gathered halter-style bodices were embellished with rosettes. They each carried three long-stem calla lilies.
Flower girl was Ellen Green of Maumelle and ring bearer was Maddox Abbott of Cave City.
Serving as best man was Nicholas Stokes Hall of Little Rock. Groomsmen were Scott Wardlaw, Stephen Creekmore IV, Nathaniel Hill and Zachary Young, brother of the bride, all also of Little Rock; Robert Cousins of Washington; and Nicholas Wingate of Philadelphia. Guests were seated by Scott Cross of Little Rock, Matthew Jollay of Atlanta, Frank Lamons of Chicago, Lukasz Wylezinski of Nashville, Tenn., William Young of Jonesboro, cousin of the bride, and Thomas Folk of Indianapolis.
Guest tables at a reception in the Cooper Alumni Center of Arkansas State University at Jonesboro held tall clear vases filled with green apples and limes and topped with white hydrangeas and amaranthus. Centerpieces on the buffet tables were large urns of white hydrangeas and amaranthus. Music was by the Soul Shockers of Memphis.
The bride graduated magna cum laude from ASU with a bachelor’s degree in marketing. She graduated summa cum laude with a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville. She is a paid search analyst at Dillard’s corporate office.
The groom graduated magna cum laude from Vanderbilt University at Nashville, with a bachelor’s degree in economics and history. He served as treasurer of Sigma Alpha Epsilon. He graduated cum laude with a master’s degree in accountancy from the UA. He is an accountant at Hudson, Cisne & Co. LLP.
The couple will live in Little Rock after a wedding trip to Playa Mujeres, Mexico.
