MovieStyle: 'Devil's Knot'

Saturday night, more than 20 years after the bodies of three little boys were found in the woods near West Memphis, Canadian director Atom Egoyan’s feature Devil’s Knot about one of the most infamous murder cases in Arkansas history will have its U.S. premiere at the Ron Ronbinson Theater in Little Rock.

In this week’s MovieStyle, our Dan Lybarger talks to Egoyan about the problems inherent in making a feature about the West Memphis Three after four documentaries have picked over the case. And Piers Marchant reviews the film — which will also close out this year’s Little Rock Film Festival on May 18.

Lybarger also gives us the skinny on The Amazing Spider-man 2, while MovieStyle editor Philip Martin reviews the indie films Blue Ruin and Hateship, Loveship. And Karen Martin writes more about her recent trip to the Tribeca Film Feestival. All in this week’s MovieStyle.
