New data on child health set for release

LITTLE ROCK — An Arkansas advocacy group is scheduled to release new data on the health of the state's children.

The report, "Crossing Into New Territory: Kids' Health Coverage in 2014," will be issued Thursday morning in the rotunda at the state Capitol by the nonprofit Arkansas Advocates for Children and Families.

The advocacy group was established in 1977 and produces an annual report on child health and policy recommendations for policymakers.

Students from local pre-K programs are expected to attend the event.
