Game and Fish foundation opens new shooting range

JACKSONVILLE — The Arkansas Game and Fish Foundation has opened a new shooting-range facility in Jacksonville.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held Thursday for the Arkansas Game and Fish Foundation Shooting Sports Complex at the intersection of Loop Road and Graham Road. The foundation says the facility will be used for shooting sports and archery.

The facility is the largest of its kind in the state, featuring 14 trap ranges, three skeet overlays and a learning center.

Foundation chairman Randy Milligan says the complex will provide public access to shooting sports for many groups, including the Amateur Trapshooting Association and the Arkansas Youth Shooting Sports Program.
