Marcy McKinney Hall and Dr. Steven Matthew Wright were united in marriage at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, April 26, in St. Edward Catholic Church. The Rev. James P. West of the Church of St. John the Baptist in Hot Springs officiated.
Sherry and Frank Hall, 130 Challain Drive, are the parents of the bride. She is the granddaughter of Marilyn and the late Frank P. Hall Jr. of Little Rock and Marcy and Robert McClendon of Rogers.
The groom is the son of Cathy and Bill Wright of North Little Rock. His grandparents are the late Eileen and Harry Rohrbacher of North Little Rock and the late Florence and Hosea Wright of Pocahontas.
A vase of green hydrangeas was placed at the altar in memory of the bride and groom’s grandparents. Music was by organist Kevin Forte, soloist Bernard Turgeon and flutist Liana Tyson.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a strapless gown of ivory taffeta with a pleated sweetheart bodice and a Swarovski crystal-and-pearl belt. The A-line skirt extended to a chapel-length train. She carried a bouquet of bright pink peonies and lilacs accented with succulents.
Matron of honor was Miranda Roberts Morris of Little Rock. Bridesmaids were Ashley Bishop, Natalie Korte, Stephanie Murdaugh and Haley Rogers, all of Little Rock, and Keeley Mullis of Washington. Junior bridesmaid was Casey McClendon of Richmond, Va., cousin of the bride.
They wore cocktail-length dresses of lilac chiffon with ruched one-shoulder bodices and carried bouquets of green hydrangeas and purple hyacinths.
Flower girl was Maylee Metcalf of Little Rock, cousin of the bride. Ring bearers were Nicholas Frelin of Little Rock, godson of the bride, and Robert “Mac” McClendon of Richmond, cousin of the bride.
Serving as the groom’s honor attendants were his brothers Jeff Wright of St. Louis and Mark Wright of Charlotte, N.C.
Groomsmen were Frank Preston Hall IV of Little Rock, brother of the bride, and Paul Lincicome and Mark Lorge, both of North Little Rock.
A reception at The Country Club of Little Rock followed the ceremony. Guest tables were decorated with high and low arrangements of lilac-colored garden roses and hydrangeas. Music was by The Groan-Ups.
The bride graduated from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville with a bachelor’s degree in nursing and was a member of Zeta Tau Alpha. She is a registered nurse in the cardiovascular intensive care unit at Arkansas Children’s Hospital.
The groom was a Sturgis Fellow at UA, from which he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in English and was a member of Lambda Chi Alpha. He received a medical degree from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. He is a resident physician in the department of radiology at UAMS.
After a wedding trip to the Dominican Republic, the couple will reside in North Little Rock.
