5:30 p.m. update
Rescue crews that responded to a report of a person jumping from the Junction Bridge into the Arkansas River were removed from the water late Tuesday afternoon.
Weaver said the crews extensively searched the area and found no sign of a person in the river.
A continued search is unclear at this point, Weaver said.
"More than likely, they're done [with the search], with us not ever laying eyes on [the jumper] and with conflicting reports," he said.
The crews may go out tomorrow and look for a body along the shoreline and areas that normally catch debris in the water, Weaver said.
"At this point it would be a recovery," Weaver said. "I think the chances of a rescue have already passed."
3:30 p.m. update
Rescue crews are still on the scene searching the waters of the Arkansas River after a report of a person jumping from the Junction Bridge.
Weaver said divers are ready in case they are needed for an underwater search effort.
Eyewitness accounts of what actually happened about 1:30 p.m. Tuesday are conflicting, Weaver said, but rescuers are still out searching for a person and using sonar equipment.

Crews are searching the Arkansas River between the downtown areas of Little Rock and North Little Rock after a report of a person jumping from a pedestrian bridge.
Little Rock Fire Department Capt. Jason Weaver said a witness reported seeing a person jump from the Junction Bridge between the Main and Broadway bridges about 1:30 p.m. The witness said the person then swam to a pillar in the water.
Crews were still trying to locate the person after 2 p.m. Boats from the Little Rock and North Little Rock fire departments and the Pulaski County sheriff's office were in the water.
