A Monday evening chase in Little Rock resulted in the arrest of a wanted suspect, police say.

About 7 p.m. Monday, police were following a 2003 Chevy Impala driven by Ocoriye Wallace, 19, a Little Rock Police Department police report states.

Officers caught up to Wallace and attempted to conduct a traffic stop at I-630 and Martin Luther King Jr. Drive.

But Wallace did not stop, and he continued to travel west on Lamar Street until he hit the curb in front of 710 S. Maple St. and crashed in the front yard, the report states.

Wallace then got out of the Impala and began running toward I-630, police said. Officers chased him, and he jumped a chain link fence and continued running south across the interstate, and two eastbound vehicles collided to avoid hitting him, the report states.

After clearing the interstate, Wallace jumped another chain link fence and continued to run south to Oak Street and then toward Maryland Avenue, where he stopped at the intersection and laid down on the ground and he was handcuffed, police said.

The Impala was searched and officers found a magazine, shotgun shells and bullets, the report states.

The report states that Wallace was charged with fleeing and second-degree battery, in addition to the charges on his active warrants, which included two counts of committing a terroristic act and a robbery charge.
