Boy hurt in Jonesboro shootings leaves hospital

JONESBORO — Authorities say a 10-year-old boy wounded in a shooting over the weekend in Jonesboro has been released from the hospital.

Jonesboro police Sgt. Doug Formon said Brayam Davila has been released from a hospital in Memphis. The boy was one of four people wounded in shootings Saturday in Jonesboro. Four people, including the suspected gunman, were killed.

Formon told The Jonesboro Sun that the other three wounded people remain in critical condition.

Police say 40-year-old Porfirio Hernandez shot six people at a home then drove to another location and fatally shot another man. Police say Hernandez was later found dead of a self-inflicted gunshot wound on a rural county road.
