Cranford brothers resign from LR advertising firm

Wayne Cranford, founder and chairman emeritus of Cranford Johnson Robinson Woods, confirmed Wednesday that his son, Chris Cranford, has resigned from the company.

All three of Cranford's sons have now resigned from their positions with the Arkansas-based advertising, marketing and public relations agency and are looking to start new projects.

“They all started at different times, but they’ve all been [working] together at CJRW for several years," Wayne said in a phone interview Wednesday.

He said the men are planning on the possibilities of what the future holds for them.

“I believe it’ll be something together,” Wayne said.

Jay Cranford, former chief creative officer of CJRW and Ross Cranford, former vice president of tourism services, resigned on Monday.

Chris Cranford, however, had been in Nepal on vacation and returned to Arkansas on Monday night.

Wayne said Chris announced his resignation on Tuesday. Chris Cranford held the position of vice president of CJRW and creative director of Jones Film Video.
