Water park opens
The water park area of Magic Springs Water and Theme Park opens at 11 a.m. Saturday, operating weekends through May 18 and expanding to seven days a week May 23. The theme park opened in April. Prints and paintings
“Co-Opt: Taimur Cleary, Jennifer Perren and Mesilla Smith,” prints and paintings by three University of Arkansas at Little Rock students via the Learning Co-op, goes on display in the Second Floor Gallery, Historic Arkansas Museum, 200 E. Third St., Little Rock with a reception, 5-8 p.m. Friday, part of Second Friday Art Night. Finger Food, featuring Steve Davison and Micky Rigby, will perform. Admission is free; a free shuttle is available to transport visitors to other Art Night venues until 8:30 p.m.

Maumelle Mikado
The Maumelle Players will stage Gilbert & Sullivan’s The Mikado at 7 p.m. Friday-Saturday and May 16-17 and 3 p.m. May 18 at Little Scholars Academy, 10910 Maumelle Boulevard (at Counts Massie Road), North Little Rock. Zumbathon benefit
More than 30 fitness instructors, central Arkansas members of the Zumba Instructors Network, will lead the dance party for a Zumbathon Charity Event for Arkansas tornado survivors, 7-9 p.m. Friday at Estes Stadium, University of Central Arkansas, 201 Donaghey Ave., Conway. Doors open at 6. The event will also feature a raffle and silent auction. Admission is by $5 (minimum) donation; property donations will also be collected. All proceeds benefit Arkansas Dream Center. Esperanza Bonanza
A rodeo, a backyard barbecue contest, carnival rides and games for kids and adults are all part of the 22nd annual Esperanza Bonanza Festival, through Sunday at the Marion Athletic Complex, 3821 Complex Road, Marion.
Dr. Zarr and the Amazing Funkmonsters takes the stage at 6 p.m. today, with 5th Kind Band at 8 p.m. Friday. Saturday’s lineup kicks off at 2 p.m. with the Donnie Smith Band, which returns to the stage at 6 following a 5 p.m. awards ceremony. 7th Sundown Band wraps things up at 8.
A three-day pass is $15; individual day passes are $3-$10; $15 carnival wristbands get you on all rides, 4-10 p.m. today and 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday. Freedom Fest
The Arnold Family Foundation is sponsoring the fourth annual Fort Lincoln Freedom Fest, 9 a.m.-9 p.m. Saturday at the DeValls Bluff Community Center & Museum, 710 E. Sycamore St., DeValls Bluff. Organ recital
Organist Monica Czausz will give a recital, sponsored by the Central Arkansas Chapter, American Guild of Organists, at 8 p.m. Friday at Christ Episcopal Church, 509 Scott St., Little Rock.
