Work on Higdon Ferry Road will require lane closures next week in Hot Springs, the Arkansas Highway and Transportation Department said Friday.
Crews smoothing the driving surface between Emory Street and Central Avenue will reduce traffic to one lane in each direction on Higdon Ferry from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday and Tuesday, the department said.
The work was originally scheduled for this past Tuesday and Wednesday but was delayed because of equipment problems, highway officials said.
Flaggers, cones and warning signs will be used to alert drivers to the lane reduction.
