Nelson Giles, 25.

Jarrett Hamilton, 29.

A suspicious ambulance stopped at a Maumelle gas station led police to seize assorted marijuana products and money from two Memphis men early Monday morning.

Maumelle police said an ambulance with no markings or license plate was stopped at the Shell gas station on Arkansas 365 North in Maumelle about 2 a.m.

A Maumelle police officer conducted a traffic stop for the ambulance having no license plate, and Jarrett Hamilton, of Memphis, said the vehicle was just purchased in Montana, police said.

Hamilton told police that he and his passenger, Nelson Giles, also of Memphis, were starting an ambulance service. Officers asked Hamilton for permission to look inside the ambulance and he denied.

Giles told police that he was the owner of the ambulance and that the two had stopped in Denver on the trip back from Montana and picked up marijuana-related items because they are legal in Colorado. Giles went into the back of the ambulance and showed the officer two zipper bags and two paper bags that contained assorted marijuana products.

Police also found $1,649.52 on Giles and $511.46 on Hamilton.

Giles was arrested and charged with five counts of possession of a controlled substance and five counts of possession of drug paraphernalia, according to the Pulaski County sheriff's office.

Hamilton was arrested and charged with five counts of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver and five counts of possession of drug paraphernalia.

Shouldn't have left Montana, they must be more open minded.

They look like they have been smoking what was in the ambulance. Not a brain cell in their head! To say they must be open minded...they were empty headed!
