Catherine Meghan Steadman and Joshua Skye Hairston were united in marriage at 7 p.m. Saturday, May 3, in Christ Episcopal Church. The Rev. Kate Alexander officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Annice Floyd Steadman of Little Rock and the late Paul Leslie Steadman. Her grandparents are the late Mary and Edward Steadman of North Little Rock and the late Margaret and Dale Floyd of Nashville.

Parents of the groom are Caryl and Victor Hairston of Sikeston, Mo. He is the grandson of Margaret and the late Carl Joyce, also of Sikeston, and the late Alice and Thomas Hairston of Matthews, Mo.

On each side of the altar were large brass containers filled with arrangements of tulips, delphinium, snapdragons, roses, calla lilies, baby's breath and wax flower. Music was by organist Steve Bullock. Andrea Gilliland of Dyersburg, Tenn., and Brittani Joyce of St. Louis were readers.

The bride was given in marriage by her mother. She wore an ivory strapless gown with a fitted bodice of English net over organza that was embellished with beaded re-embroidered lace. The flared skirt extended to a chapel train with cascading beaded lace. She carried a clutch bouquet of white miniature calla lilies and baby's breath.

Matron of honor was Corinne Sappington of Little Rock. Bridesmaids were Andria Russow of Jackson, Tenn.; Jessica Baker and Mendi Morrison, both of Nashville, Tenn.; Lauren McKay and Jessica Steadman, both of Little Rock; and Victoria Nalls of McClain, Va. They wore black cocktail dresses and carried clutch bouquets of multicolored roses and pink wax flowers.

Flower girl and ring bearer were Holly Hairston and Jordan Hairston of Sikeston, niece and nephew of the groom.

Best man was Mitchell Hairston of Sikeston, brother of the groom. Groomsmen were the father of the groom; Ty Wagoner of Jackson; David Cate of Franklin, Tenn.; Shannon Samples of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; Stephen Rush of Arlington, Texas; Brandon Medling of Germantown, Tenn.; and Zachary Steadman of Little Rock, brother of the bride.

Guests were seated by Richard McKay of Little Rock and Bruce Bengtsson of Winston Salem, N.C.

A reception at Lafayette Square followed the ceremony. The buffet was centered by a topiary of multicolored roses, tulips, orchids, hydrangeas and stock. Guest tables held votive candles and glass vases of wedding flowers. Music was by The Rockets.

The bride is a graduate of the University of Memphis, Lambuth Campus, in Jackson, where she received a bachelor's degree in sociology and was a member of Alpha Omicron Pi. She received a bachelor's degree in nursing from Middle Tennessee State University in Murfreesboro. She is a pediatric critical care nurse at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, Miss.

The groom has a bachelor's degree in business from Lambuth University, where he was a member of Kappa Sigma. He is a senior manager of trade marketing for RJ Reynolds Tobacco Co.

After a wedding trip to Belize, the couple will live in Jackson, Miss.
