Little Rock police are investigating after a man was shot Thursday morning at a gas station on South University Avenue.
A police report states the victim, identified as 25-year-old Kameron Carlton of Little Rock, said a woman approached the passenger side of his vehicle and asked for his phone number around 10 a.m. after he had pumped gas at the Raceway gas station at 6401 S. University Ave.
When Carlton told the woman he didn't have a phone, he said a man holding a black handgun with an extended clip approached the vehicle and asked him if he "had a problem," the report states.
The man then fired his gun multiple times at Carlton's vehicle as Carlton fled the scene to his home, where he contacted police. One bullet had grazed Carlton's arm, but he declined immediate medical attention when officers arrived, according to the report.
Carlton told police he didn't know the shooter or the woman who approached him. The shooter is described in the report as a light-complected black man between 20 and 30 years old who wore a brightly colored shirt. The woman was only described as black with a "blonde weave all over her head."
