A recently unveiled low-power Hot Springs community radio station, KUHS-FM, 97.9, will begin fundraising activities with a concert by Good Graeff at 8 p.m. Saturday at the Low Key Arts center, 118 Arbor St., as part of the "Arts and the Park: Year Zero" event.
Admission is a suggested donation of $10 for all ages.
Good Graeff -- one of the featured bands at the Valley of the Vapors festival in the city in March -- is a folk-oriented indy pop group led by twin sisters Brooke and Brit Graeff. Formed a decade ago in Sarasota, Fla., the band is led by Brooke on vocals and guitar and Brit on cello and ukulele. The sisters dissolved their duo after two years, but got back together in 2012 while both were in Hanoi, Vietnam.
KUHS-FM will begin broadcasting in October from a studio at 240 Ouachita Ave., across the street from the new satellite campus of Henderson State University in the Landmark Building. Zach Smith of the Itinerant Locals will be the program director.

The B-Side Players, a San Diego Latin funk band, will perform at 9 p.m. today at the Rev Room. Since forming in 1994, the group has won 10 San Diego Music Awards.

More Latin music, the soul-flavored variety, will be available at the club Friday night with the return of Zodiac (the Taurus edition, featuring Fractal Sky). The 8 p.m. Friday show will begin with sets by Big Brown, Basspeddler, Brian Dub Hill, Sam Bradford and Jordan Van Den Berghe.
Admission is $8 for those over age 21 and $10 for those under age 21. (The first 20 patrons born during the Taurus sign of the zodiac will be admitted free, along with all female patrons wearing green, yellow or red dresses before 11 p.m.)

Michigan dream pop/dance duo Wild Belle will headline tonight's show at Stickyz Rock 'n' Roll Chicken Shack.
Wild Belle consists of brother and sister Elliot Bergman and Natalie Belle Bergman. The show will open at 8:30 p.m. with sets by Caught a Ghost and The Soft White Sixties.
Admission is $12.
Friday, the club will feature Royal Canoe at 9 p.m. A six-man band from Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, Royal Canoe released its first full-length CD Today We're Believers in 2013, after having released two EPs in 2012.

Juanita's will present Goose at 10 p.m. Saturday. A Northwest Arkansas folk rock duo, Goose consists of singer Austin Jewell and alternating bassist/drummer Kevin Jones.

Sunday, the club will host The Winery Dogs with Third Degree opening the show at 8 p.m.
The Winery Dogs, a trio formed in Los Angeles in 2012, cite classic rock as their genre of choice. Members are Dream Theater drummer Mike Portnoy, Mr. Big bassist Billy Sheehan and guitarist/singer Richie Kotzen. The band released a self-titled debut album in July and has now re-packaged the album with a live album, Unleashed in Japan, as The Winery Dogs Special Edition, released April 15, along with Dog Treats: The Winery Dogs Deluxe Special Edition, sold in a box resembling a box of dog treats.

Maxine's in Hot Springs will host a weekend of shows, starting with Canadian roots rocker Sean Ashby at 9 p.m. today.
Ashby is a singer-songwriter-guitarist who has worked with Sarah McLachlan since 1996.
Admission is free.
Friday night, the club will present Megafauna, an experimental rock band from Texas, plus two opening acts from Arkansas: Opportunist and Fitra.
Megafauna, from Austin, is a rock trio fronted by Dani Neff, voted in 2012 Austin's Best Electric Guitarist by The Austin Chronicle. In her former career, she was a lawyer. On April 15, the band released its second album Maximalist.
Admission is $5 to the 9 p.m. show.
Saturday, Cult Fiction, the Spa City improvisational sketch comedy group, will return to Maxine's.
