A Saturday night shooting in Garland County left a man with life-threatening injuries, officials say.
Garland County sheriff's office Lt. James Martin said deputies responded about 11:45 p.m. to a shooting at the 200 block of Rocky Reef Road.
Two black men knocked on the door of a home, asking to use a phone, saying they had car trouble, police said.
After the victim went outside, the two men attempted to force their way into the home and started a struggle with him, police said.
One or both of the suspects fired shots, which struck the victim, leaving him with life-threatening injuries, police said.
Martin said the victim, whom police have not yet identified, was reportedly taken into surgery Saturday night. He is in intensive care at an area hospital, and his current condition was not immediately available.
The Garland County sheriff's office announced Monday that it is offering up to a $1,000 reward for information about Saturday's shooting.
