Driver in crash that killed Oklahoma woman found

The driver of a tractor-trailer rig suspected of hitting and killing an Oklahoma City woman in southwest Arkansas has been found in North Little Rock.

Authorities say the body of 42-year-old Eugenia Vasquez-Aponte was found about 3 a.m. Wednesday in the middle of Arkansas 32 west of Ashdown.

The Texarkana Gazette reported that the owner of a tractor-trailer called state police after hearing news accounts of the collision and questioning the driver who said he thought he had hit something, but wasn't sure.

State Police Cpl. Robert Wilson said the truck shows evidence of having hit something.

Police say there have been no arrests and no names were released.

State police say they don't know why Vasquez-Aponte was in the area because she has no friends or relatives there.
