HomeStyle: Flying old glory at home

Oh, say, can you see what season this is? The answer is in the wind: flag season, writes Ron Wolfe in HomeStyle.

“We like to say flag season starts with Memorial Day and runs through Labor Day,” says Kerry McCoy, president and founder of Arkansas Flag and Banner in Little Rock (FlagandBanner.com).

The American flag, Old Glory, the Stars and Stripes, the Red, White and Blue — the flag stands duty every day. But Americans find even more than the usual reasons to fly the flag outdoors this time of year.

“It’s better to fly the flag,” Grady McCoy says, “than not to fly the flag.” See Saturday’s Arkansas Democrat-Gazette for more about the hoisting old glory at home.
