Jacksonville attorney Patricia Nation announced Friday that she is endorsing Leslie Rutledge in the runoff election for attorney general.

Nation was one of Rutledge’s Republican opponents in the May 20 primary election.

“I am proud to put my support behind Leslie Rutledge’s candidacy for Attorney General because she has the right experience for Arkansas,” Nation said in a statement.

Rutledge is up against David Sterling in the primary runoff scheduled for June 10.

The Secretary of State's office reports Rutledge received 79,008 votes in the primary election, while Sterling netted 65,400 votes.
