FLORIDA 7, SOUTH CAROLINA 2

Casey Turgeon had three hits and drove in two runs to lead top-seeded Florida (38-20) past South Carolina (42-16) in an elimination game. The Gators, whose offense was stymied by Kentucky in an opening-round loss, rallied from a 2-0 deficit. They scored three unearned runs in the third, including a two-run single by Taylor Gushue, and two in the fourth. Reliever Bobby Poyner (5-3) pitched five scoreless innings and allowed two hits. Josh Tobias led off the sixth with a home run for the Gators. The Gamecocks lost two consecutive in the tournament and were outscored 19-2. Tanner English went 2 for 4 with a double and RBI for South Carolina. Starter Jack Wynkoop (7-5) left with two outs in the third after the three unearned runs.

MISSISSIPPI 7, VANDERBILT 2

Austin Anderson had a two-run single and Ole Miss (41-17) capitalized on eight walks as it defeated Vanderbilt (41-18) in another elimination game. The Rebels ousted the Commodores while outhitting them only 7-6. Anderson helped Ole Miss put together a four-run seventh inning to take control of the game. Anderson and Auston Bousfield had two hits each for the Rebels. Starter Jeremy Massie allowed one run in 4 1/3 innings. Aaron Greenwood (2-1) earned the victory with 22/3 innings of relief, giving up 1 hit and 1 run.

Bryan Reynolds was 2 for 3 and drove in a run when he was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded for Vanderbilt. Rhett Wiseman also had two hits, and Vince Conde added an RBI single.

Tyler Beede (7-7) allowed 3 hits and 4 runs, 3 earned, in 6 innings. He walked five batters.
